Lack of fashionable clothes for men

One of the worst aspects about being a fat guy is having to conform with boring, ugly clothes. It's either sports clothes or simple plain clothes without any personality whatsoever. I'm someone who not only likes to feel and look good, but I want my clothes to reflect who I am, but it is impossible. Unless you have money and can afford tailored clothes, the only option left is cheap low quality brands that are bad for the environment and exploit workers.

It absolutely sucks. My partner sometimes wishes he was 200 lbs lighter so he could wear some of the more fashionable clothes he sees in the store.

That said, if you have the time and skill, you can always make your own.

In Australia once your in 10xl territory have no options. Horrible track pants tops and plain tees. We lack the market to support much else. I have started using on line tailored jeans so far not to bad for fit, fabric can be a bit thin, so I get patches in between the legs to increase life.

Damn. I don't know anyone in 10 XLs. Then again, I do not know how American and Aussie sizes differ

I have to buy name brand shirts, Carhartt to be exact. They have tall sizes as well & I'm in between a 3XLT & a 4XLT. They get expensive after a while, but not many places have the tall size outside of the actual Carhartt stores.

I’m about 5’ 5/6” and 223 lbs. I was a powerlifter with my neck growing to 19”. I need a 19 1/2 - 20 collar and 32-33 sleeve. At that size the body is usually way too big. The shirts I have are 17 1/2, which fit in the body and sleeves but there’s no way I can button the collars. Fortunately I rarely ever wear a tie. If I do, I leave the collar and tie loosened. My beard usually covers it, depending on how long I let it grow.

If I buy XL or XXL shirts the sleeves are too long. In pants need 44 or 46 waist. So, it’s really hard to find anything that fits right. Custom clothing is very much out of my financial reach.
